These days I was surfing some of my favorite guitar blogs and found something really interesting which now I’d like to share with you, my dear readers! In this post a guitar competition launched by Guitar Noize will be discussed. And why I am so excited about this competition? It’s because I decided to take part in it.

And now a little bit about the guitar competition itself! You will have to download a backing track and then record your own blues solo, make it as a video and then upload to YouTube as a response to the video from the original post. And you have to do it till the date of September 13 – pretty enough time to try to record a well thought solo with lots of interesting pentatonic phrases and tasty notes… with other words, all your best blues knowledge and experience should be recorded in a 3 minutes solo and exposed to the entire online guitar world. The top 20 solos will be selected by the author of GuitarNoize.com and this competition and then the international panel of judges will choose the top 3 solos.

1st Prize: A PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24, Dunlop Max Grip Picks and a BMF Leather Strap.

2nd Prize: An Electro-harmonix POG2, an Electro-harmonix Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker, Dunlop Max Grip Picks and a BMF Leather Strap.

3rd Prize: Suhr Riot pedal, Dunlop Max Grip Picks and a BMF Leather Strap.

All of the top 20 will also receive 3 sets of strings from Rotosound.com

And now I would like to explain why I decided to take part in this blues guitar competition. Just because I know that I will have a lot of fun and good time spent and lots of experience while working on the track. What else do you need? If you really want to learn to play guitar – this competition is exactly what you need because now you will have so much to practice in order to record a good solo – like never, never before… and who knows – maybe you will be lucky and the PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 guitar will be played by you in less than 2 month. Isn’t it great? I don’t know what about you, but I see only positive moments in participating in this competition and to tell you the truth, not the prizes are so important for me, but just to feel that I am a part of the online guitar community, to add value to it and get maximum pleasure from playing my guitar!
