Working as a guitar teacher for over 6 years I’ve seen more than one hundred guitar newbies. The most interesting fact is that 80% of them when coming to my lessons for the first time could play at least some easy guitar riffs using the perfect 5th interval. At the same time after some questions of mine, it was clear that they didn’t know anything about musical intervals and some of them even didn’t know at least the string notes....

I observed that in styles like hard rock, metal, trash – flageolets are used often as some kind of guitar effect. It sounds very strange and cool at the same time!
